Yes, I offer a free initial consultation during which we discuss the case and I determine what to charge the client.
On criminal cases I work on flat fee short of going of going to trial. Should the case proceed to trial then I work on an hourly rate. On Social Security cases, the client pays nothing and I work to get not more that one quarter of the client's past due benefits.
Trial hourly rate $125.00
Monday through Friday
9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and some Saturday mornings.

I think client's should educate themselves on legal issues. However, when charged with a crime, a client should seek the advice of lawyer because of potential consequences.
I willing to look at all documents presented by a client. However, should I be retained only documents prepared by my office would be filed with a court.
I will never coach a client who wishes to represent himself.
