At Marsh Law Firm we provide personal service and attention to our clients in many areas.
Marsh Law Firm, P.L.L.C. has extensive experience in all phases of business negotiations, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate finance, with a particular emphasis on representing business owners and sellers of businesses realize the maximum after tax value for their businesses. Richard Marsh is an expert in the area of valuation of closely held businesses, and is Co-Author of Valuation Strategies in Estate Planning and Tax Litigation, which has been published by Clark Boardman and Callaghan since 1994 with annual updates. Mr. Marsh has valued closely held companies for the trust department of a major national bank. Mr. Marsh also had experience valuing companies for an international "Big 5" public accounting firm in the early 1980's. Marsh Law Firm, P.L.L.C. has handled sales and mergers of businesses ranging from $5,000,000 in value to well over $100,000,000. We believe that we do an excellent job of helping the C.E.O. and Business Owner of closely held private companies realize the full value of their companies. We have worked on "taxable" sales (often without significant tax to our clients), nontaxable mergers, strategic alliances and joint ventures, and initial public offerings, including DPOs. We are particularly experienced in the estate and tax planning which accompanies and immediately precedes and follows the significant business transactions, in order to help our clients maintain and protect what they've earned. We work well in concert with investment bankers and professional accountants, as well as the client's other advisers. We have published a wide variety of articles and outlines regarding these topics, which we will post from time to time on this site, or which are available from us at a nominal charge.
