Markusson, Green & Jarvis was established in 1984 under a predecessor firm name and was re-established under its present name in 1996.

Dennis Markusson is a founding partner of Markusson Green & Jarvis. He served as national counsel for a national corporation for the defense of that company's asbestos litigation until 2014. He continues to works with clients on asbestos issues, litigation and factors affecting insurance coverage, including reinsurance. Dennis practices in the areas of products liability, toxic torts, commercial litigation, contract law, and construction defect/contractor liability as well. Additionally, he serves as an asbestos expert witness.
Prior to joining MGJ, Dennis directed Johns Manville Corporation's asbestos litigation group. He was responsible for the direction and coordination of Johns Manville's asbestos litigation throughout the United States. He served as Assistant General Counsel and Vice President of Johns Manville Sales Corporation. Additionally, he was responsible for the company's litigation within the Unites States OSHA-related matters, and was one of Johns Manville's lead counsel in its Chapter 11 re-organization.
Before founding MGJ, Dennis was a partner in the Akron, Ohio firm of Weick & Genovese, and he served as assistant counsel to General Tire & Rubber CO.
Dennis founded MGJ in 1984 with his partners Keith Jarvis and James Green.
Dennis is licensed to practice law in Colorado and Ohio, as well as the United States District Court for the District of Colorado and for the Northern District of Ohio, United States Sixth, Ninth and Tenth Circuit Courts of Appeal, and the United States Claims Court.
His professional affiliations also include the American Bar Association Litigation and Tort and Insurance Sections, the Colorado Bar Association, the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association (CDLA), the Defense Research Institute (DRI), the Denver Bar Association and the International Association of Defense Counsel and IADC's Toxic Torts Committee.
