Divorce

MacDonald Law, PC, is a strategic and aggressive litigation firm representing our clients since 2005. We pride ourselves on our record of advocacy in all family law matters including Divorce, Parenting, Child Support, as well as DWI / DUI defense.

Since 2005, MacDonald Law has been representing men and women on their path through divorce, as well as through the often times frustrating process of enforcing court orders and parenting plans. We have handled hundreds of cases throughout New Hampshire and Massachusetts regarding both no-fault and fault-based divorces, division of parenting time (custody), child support / alimony, as well as the often-complex matter of dividing closely held businesses, as well as a sole ownership interest in a larger corporation. Whether you are looking to protect your pre-marital assets from court order during a marriage dissolution, or whether you are on the other side of the equation and need access to your partner’s wealth, we know the law and have the experience to represent you effectively. Having tried cases to a final outcome throughout New Hampshire we are equally adept at mediation as we are at litigation. We will get you through your process, whichever route you take.

Often times the tone and progress of a family law matter can be as much dictated by the attorneys involved as by the actual litigants. That is why it is key to ensure that your attorney is dedicated to getting you the best and most equitable outcome as soon as possible while working hard to lower animosity, not encourage it. When lawyers encourage animosity and a “take no prisoners” approach to family matters, the only person who benefits is the lawyer, financially. There is life after divorce and parenting negotiations, and our goal is to leave you with the tools and court orders that ensure effective co-parenting where appropriate and to equip you to move forward into your next chapter of life.

In addition to the traditional areas of family law representation, we have experience in both the prosecution and defense of domestic violence allegations and protective orders. We have also represented parents faced with the very real hurdle of parental alienation, or vindictive mother/father syndrome, which in its most basic form is when one parent uses the children to punish the other through manipulation and alienation. We provide an aggressive litigation response to those who seek to weaponize their children in divorce and we refuse to assist in manipulation of children for financial or emotional gain. In addition to achieving successful outcomes for parents in this area, we have also recovered legal fees for our clients through court orders for contempt.

We look forward to providing you with a free initial consultation. Our attorneys are currently admitted in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Colorado.
