Biography: Michael Caron is experienced in a broad range of estate planning, real estate, business and federal income tax matters, and in structuring partnerships, limited liability companies, privately-offered securities, joint ventures, and privately-owned corporations. Mr. Caron graduated, with high honors, from the University of Illinois with a B.S. degree in finance, and passed the Certified Public Accountant examination in 1977. He received his law degree, with high honors, from the University of Illinois College of Law and joined the Chicago law firm of Rudnick & Wolfe (now DLA Piper LLP), in 1980, where he was a partner before joining the predecessor to Lyon & Caron LLP in 1990.
Michael has spoken at numerous seminars on real estate like-kind exchanges, income tax planning for real estate, and real estate financing. He has written a chapter on Tax Considerations in Condominium Development for the Illinois Institute for Continuing Education and articles for several law and business journals.
