As founder of Leibel Law - Steven Leibel P.C., Mr. Leibel represents people in Cumming and throughout Northern Georgia. In 1977, Mr. Leibel graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in political science and communications from Queens College of the City University of New York. He went on to earn a Juris Doctor in 1980, from the Emory University School of Law, where he was elected president of the school's international law society.

He served on the board of governors for the State Bar of Georgia and is a member of the Lawyers Club of Atlanta, the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, the Forsyth County Bar Association and the Enotah Judicial Circuit Bar Association. He was also a Commission member of the Georgia Brain and Spinal injury Commission and was a Judge for 8 years.

In one of his most notable accomplishments, Mr. Leibel represented a client in a wrongful death case in which the sheriff-elect of DeKalb County was murdered. The jury returned a $776 million verdict, which included the state's largest punitive damages award and is the largest single death verdict in Georgia.
