How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?

Over my 25 years of practicing law I discovered that a majority of my case load was in family law and I was successful in resolving family conflicts and focused my practice on family law, divorce, custody and support issues.

What experience or education distinguishes your lawyers from others?

I have over 25 years of experience representing clients in both Maryland and Pennsylvania. I am regularly in District and Circuit Courts in Maryland and have the ability to zero in and focus on the issues that are most important to clients and present the evidence that the court wants to hear and see. I have attended countless hearings and have volunteered my time with public service organizations such as Civil Justice and Maryland Volunteer Legal Services.

What distinguishes your law firm from others?

I have the experience to streamline cases and negotiate with opposing counsel and self represented parties to reach amicable agreements and save all parties litigation costs.
I explain the legal process and law in every day language so that clients understand the process and what to expect from court.

Is your firm willing to review documents prepared by clients?

Yes. I regularly review leases, custody agreements and marital separation agreements prepared by clients to make sure that the documents are legally sound and will have the desired result and advise of changes if necessary.

Is your firm willing to help a client with one discrete part of a case, without taking on the whole case?

Yes. In the State of Maryland we are able to enter our appearance on a limited basis such as attend just one hearing or prepare one pleading.

How frequently does your firm use mediation, arbitration, or collaborative law to resolve cases?

I regularly advise clients to set up four way meetings with opposing counsel and ourselves to attempt to negotiate agreements and occasionally hire retired judges as mediators to attempt to resolve higher conflict cases to reduce overall litigation expense.
