Our firm's mission is to provide excellent legal services while delivering an outstanding client experience from first touch to last.

How frequently does your firm use mediation, arbitration, or collaborative law to resolve cases?

We believe that mediation is a great, and often less costly, dispute resolution technique. Our firm strives to ensure that our clients receive the best outcome possible. However, in the instances where a beneficial outcome cannot be reached in mediation or arbitration, our attorneys will fight to protect and advance the interests of our clients.

What are your firm's strengths and style?

We are a boutique real estate law firm, which means that we are focused on providing the best client experience possible. Our firm may be small in size, but we have an immense pool of law talent, and can help clients in a variety of matters.

What are your policies about dividing work within the firm to make the process most cost-effective for the client?

Our firm has attorneys that all bill at different rates - from $200 to $475 an hour. As a result, we can ensure that work is effectively completely in a cost-efficient manner, by activating the talents of our attorneys at lower rates.

Is your firm willing to review documents prepared by clients?

Real estate law issues are extremely fact-intensive. The documents that are involved in real estate transactions are often lengthy and full of detail. It takes significant attorney time to read through these documents, understand the facts and details involved, and then analyze those information bites in a meaningful way. Our firm is absolutely willing to review documents, but we do charge for the cost of attorney time to review these documents. Additionally, any documents that are prepared by the client can be reviewed by our attorneys. However, we are unable to provide guarantees about those documents that are not prepared by our firm.

What is your firm's point of view regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

It is our belief that clients should be empowered with information about the law. As a result, our firm constantly publishes content about the law, in a variety of formats.

ABOUT PETER

Peter Brewer founded the Law Offices of Peter N. Brewer in 1995 as a solo practice. Since then, the firm has grown to 6 attorneys with over 90 years of combined experience in real estate and lending law.

Peter Brewer's expertise is widely recognized and highly regarded by his peers, colleagues, and clients, having earned both an AV-Preeminent peer-review rating and recognition as a Super Lawyer for Northern California, a designation reserved for the top 5% of lawyers in the state.

Peter is a member of the California Association of REALTORS Legal Affairs Committee and serves on the executive committee of the California State Bar Association's Law Practice Management and Technology section.
Attorney Brewer is passionate about mediation and alternative dispute resolution. He has helped clients settle disputes outside of the court room for many years and is often appointed as an "Early Neutral" by the Superior Court. He is a graduate of the Mediation Skills training program put on by the prestigious American Arbitration Association, one of the nation's most recognized providers of arbitrators for alternative dispute resolution.

Outside of work, Peter maintains an eclectic and active lifestyle. He commutes to work every day on a Vespa motor scooter, enjoys taking trips to Italy, speaks Italian (almost) fluently, and raises chickens at his home that he shares with his wonderful wife Laura and a trio of adorable dachshunds Ollie, Buster, and Chunky.
