Firm Overview

Law firm concentrating in the areas of Family Law, Estate Planning and Probate. Schedule your no-cost / no-obligation telephone consultation at the following link: https://calendly.com/radalegal/30minconsultation (note: you may have to cut and paste link into your web browser.) Concentrating only in the areas of Estate Planning and Family Law, my firm provides knowledgeable and caring service for families and individuals to protect their most valued assets and peace-of-mind, regardless of the situation. I routinely serve clients in Lake and McHenry counties, and the northwest suburban area. MEDIATION I believe in many cases, solving a dispute outside of the courtroom can be of great advantage to all involved. In this way, parties can save money, be more in control of the outcome of their case, and potentially significantly reduce the frustration, time and effort required. For this reason, I offer mediation services in both divorce and estate/probate dispute matters. UNBUNDLED SERVICES For clients who are able to do some of the work themselves, but want the advice of a lawyer to draft and review documents, consult on strategy and procedure, and better understand their legal options, I also offer unbundled legal services in family / divorce cases and probate cases. Here, I do not appear in court for you, but provide skilled legal services in the background working on distinct defined tasks that we agree upon in advance. In this situation, you may save considerable money while still having the benefit of a lawyer to assist you through the process. ESTATE PLANNING For Estate Planning, I understand that each client has their own individual needs and financial constraints. I will not attempt to sell you an estate plan that is more than what you need. For this reason I offer a variety of Estate Planning solutions that can be customized to your individual needs and price constraints. I am focused on ensuring that you receive a plan that fits your particular needs and requirements.

Divorce

Divorce or Post-Decree conflicts can be stressful, complicated and full of difficult considerations, even if you are parting ways on amicable terms. Let us help.

The family lawyers associated with the Law Offices of Michael Rada, LLC care about their clients and work hard to obtain favorable outcomes for them. Cases they have handled include matters pertaining to dissolution of marriage, custody / allocation of decision making rights, visitation / parenting time schedules, equitable distribution of property, spousal support, child support, prenuptial agreements and marital agreements. In addition, these lawyers are skilled at handling post-decree matters of all kinds.

Probate

Probate is indeed a confusing process. However, an experienced attorney can help you work through the details in a way that is as stress free and efficient as possible. Please contact us if there are any questions or if we may be of assistance.

After the death of a loved one, if you are named an executor in a will, a Probate attorney will help you through the sometimes-confusing steps in administering an estate. He or she will help you draft the needed documents, notify the appropriate heirs, and assist in the working with the court and creditors in distributing property in the manner the decedent wished for. If there is no will, the attorney will explain to you how the estate will be handled under the intestacy laws of Illinois, guide you through the process, and ensure it is as stress free as possible for you. Please call us to see how we may be of assistance.

What distinguishes your law firm from others?

You will work exclusively with a local and experienced lawyer who truly cares about you, is happy to answer all of your questions and will take the time to make sure that the process is both as comfortable and as stress-free as possible. We focus on our clients, not on building our image or the size of our firm. Practical people, like you, who want and expect quality legal representation at a fair price. We offer both full service and unbundled legal services so that we can create a legal representation strategy that best suits both your needs and your budget. For those clients who wish to have their lawyer with them every step of the way, full service is the best option. Here your lawyer will draft all petitions, answers, interrogatories and other court documents for you. He or she will represent you in court and help you with the discovery and fact finding that will be required. In this option, your lawyer will be there every step of the way to do all he or she can to achieve your goals. In some cases, clients are able, or are forced by budget constraints, to do much of the legal work themselves. This can occur in a variety of cases, but is not uncommon when budgets are tight or in the case where the parties very much agree on the key decisions regarding their children and distribution of their property. Here, your lawyer acts as a consultant in the background, helping you with only specific parts of your case. He or she may draft court documents, but you appear in court without your lawyer being present. An unbundled strategy such as this is not always a good fit, but where it is, significant cost savings can be realized by the client. If you are in need of a family lawyer, estate planner or probate lawyer, please contact the Law Offices of Michael Rada, LLC to discuss your situation and see what options are available to you. We may be able to offer clients lower initial retainer fees, payment plans, or other creative fee agreements that allow you to get the legal representation you need at an affordable price.
