I have 16 years of experience as an attorney with an expertise in various aspects of litigation. I opened my own practice, law offices of John W. Stenson, in Los Angeles, california after having been a partner at a national litigation firm where I headed the Securities Litigation division. Prior to that, I served as corporate counsel for one of the largest privately held investment banking firms on the west coast.

Before relocating to los angeles, california a decade ago, I operated a successful private practice with a particular emphasis on litigating personal injury and business matters. I began my legal career as an assistant state's attorney for peoria county state's attorney office, prosecuting felonies, misdemeanors and traffic matters for Peoria County.

I graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where I earned my b.a. in psychology and a minor in business administration. I attended southern illinois university school of law, receiving my J.D. in 2002. I am admitted to practice in california and illinois.
