Represent clients before administrative tribunals, municipal and superior courts in New Jersey in the areas of real estate transactions, traffic, criminal and bankruptcy law. Perform expert and lay direct and cross-examinations, handling of discovery and motions in municipal court, defense of Title 39, Title 2C and Municipal Ordinances. Counsel clients regarding their rights and applicability of federal and state laws and regulations to their individual claims. Provide clients with alternative solutions to their legal claims via mediation. Perform residential and commercial real estate closings. Represent clients in the modification and restructure of distressed residential and commercial mortgage loans. Represent immigration clients throughout process of application for naturalization, removal proceedings, asylum applications, U-visas for victims of domestic violence, adjustment of status, nonimmigrant visas, and waivers. Franklin is a graduate of New York University and Rutgers School of Law, Newark. In addition to his law practice, he lectures at Fairleigh Dickinson University in economics and business law. He also has a Masters Degree from Fordham University and is fluent in Spanish.
Mr. Montero is a member of the New Jersey and New York Bars and is admitted to federal courts in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. He is also admitted to the District Court of New Jersey.
Franklin is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys (NACBA), the American Bar Association (ABA), and the New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA).
