David Beavans

Attorney David C. Beavans is founder and managing attorney of The Law Offices of David C. Beavans, located in San Diego, California. He is dedicated to providing the best in legal representation, and delivering exceptional value to each and every client he serves.

Mr. Beavans received his B.A. from the University of California at Davis. In 1995, George Washington University awarded him both an MBA and a Masters in international affairs. He then spent several years with the U.S. State Department overseeing small and medium business development in Central and Eastern Europe.

Pursuing his passion for justice and his drive for competition, Mr. Beavans returned to law school and graduated cum laude from Thomas Jefferson School of Law. While at Thomas Jefferson, He was asked to write an article on corporate privacy rights for the prestigious Thomas Jefferson Law Review Journal. He was president of the award winning Alternative Dispute Resolution competition team, and is a founding member of the TJSL Sailing Club.

Mr. Beavans is licensed to practice before all California courts including the Supreme Court, and has the rare designation of Certified Family Law Specialist. Becoming a Certified Specialist takes years of dedication to one's chosen specialty and proof of comprehensive knowledge by passing a rigorous examination process. The honor of earning a Certified Family Law Specialist designation is rare, encompassing only 0.8% of all active California attorneys as of 2017. This designation, dedication, and experience translates to a higher level of proficiency for every attorney under his leadership. Mr. Beavans is also an Adjunct Professor at Thomas Jefferson School of Law, teaching Federal Civil Procedure. Mr. Beavans is a member of the State Bar of California and the San Diego County Bar Association.

John Sylvester

John Sylvester is a San Diego attorney practicing primarily in the area of family law, including trial litigation, mediation, appeals and writs.

John received his B.A. in English literature from San Francisco State University. He received his juris doctor from Thomas Jefferson School of Law, where he graduated magna cum laude. John was an editor for the Thomas Jefferson Law Review, was instrumental in co-founding the school's first Family Law Self-Help Clinic, and served as President of the School's Family Law Society. John currently volunteers his time with the Family Violence Appellate Project as a pro bono attorney.

John is a member of the State Bar of California and is licensed to practice law before the Superior Court of California, the California Court of Appeal, and Supreme Court of California. He is also licensed to practice in the
Ninth Circuit's Central and Southern Federal District
Courts of California.

He is a member of the San Diego County Bar Association and San Diego Family Law Bar Association. In his free time, John enjoys spending time with his family, friends, and labrador retriever, Roger. His hobbies and interests include running, music, and travel. He has recently completed several marathons and half-marathons.

Christine DeLapp

Christine DeLapp graduated in the top of her class from the University of California, Irvine, with a B.A. in criminology and law. While in college, she began working in family law at the Legal Aid Society, a non-profit law firm that provides free legal services to those in need. During Law School she was honored with multiple awards and scholarships for outstanding academic performance, and served as an editor on both Law Review and the International Journal. Ms. DeLapp received her juris doctor from California Western School of Law, graduating Magna Cum Laude..

After 5 years practicing family law, Ms. DeLapp received a Master of Laws in taxation from the University of San Diego School of Law, graduating with honors. She practiced tax law for a year and a half before moving on to complex securities litigation at Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd. Ms. DeLapp also worked at the USD tax clinic for eight months representing pro-bono clients with their tax related issues. During this time, Ms. DeLapp continued to represent clients in both civil litigation and family law.

Although returning to her roots, and once again focusing on family law, she brings her knowledge of tax and corporate law and wealth of experience from eight years of practicing law in the state of California to the Law Offices of David Beavans. Because of her strong financial background and experience, Ms. DeLapp primarily handles high-net-worth divorce cases.

Ms. DeLapp is a member of the State Bar of California and the San Diego County Bar Association. She is licensed to practice before all California courts, the United States Tax Court, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California and the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.

Eric Schneider

Eric Schneider was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Mr. Schneider served ten years in the United States Navy, deployed overseas and in the Global War on Terror. He mainly served as a military police patrol officer, watch commander, and investigator. After honorably separating from service, Mr. Schneider earned his B.A. in social science from Chapman University in 2007. He subsequently decided to stay on the west coast, settling in San Diego.

Mr. Schneider received his juris doctor from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in 2013, graduating cum laude. While attending TJSL, Mr. Schneider was heavily involved in supporting the local veteran community as a volunteer at Veterans Village of San Diego. He also participated in the Thomas Jefferson School of Law Veterans Self-Help Clinic, was president of the Student Veterans Association, and was a member of the Veterans Bar Association of San Diego.

Upon being admitted to the California Bar, Mr. Schneider became a board member of the Veterans Bar Association of San Diego. Mr. Schneider practices primarily family law, and is licensed to practice before all California courts and the Southern District Court.

Mr. Schneider spends most of his free time with his children, and enjoys boxing, mixed martial arts, and baseball.
