Cynthia N. Sass, Esquire, is the sole shareholder of the Sass Law Firm, a four-attorney firm based in Tampa, Florida. Cynthia Sass obtained her law degree from the University of Richmond School of Law in 1987 and graduated from Smith College. She was admitted to The Florida Bar in 1987. She is also admitted to the United States Supreme Court, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. District Court for the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida. Since 1990, Cynthia Sass has limited her practice to labor and employment matters.
Ms. Sass has been active in the litigation of employment discrimination cases in various federal and state courts, and has significant experience in all aspects of the practice of employment law. One of Cynthia Sass' age discrimination cases is listed in Verdict Search's Top Florida Verdicts & Settlements of 2011.
Cynthia Sass is currently a member of the Florida Supreme Court Committee on Standard Jury Instructions, and is Employee Co-Chair of the Technology Sub-Committee of the Employment Rights and Responsibilities Section of the American Bar Association's Labor & Employment Law's Employment Rights and Responsibilities Section. She is also Employee Co-Chair of the American Bar Association Labor & Employment Law Employment-at-Will Subcommittee, as well as a Board Member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association's Trial Lawyer Section. She is the past Chair of The Florida Bar Labor and Employment Law Section for 2006-2007, served as its Legal Education Chair in 2004-2005, and the CLE Chair for 2003-2004. Cynthia Sass was President of the Florida Chapter of the National Employment Lawyers Association, also called Florida NELA, in 1999-2000. Florida NELA is the state chapter of a national organization of lawyers who represent individual employees in cases involving employment discrimination, wrongful termination, employee benefits and other employment-related matters.
