My experience has been in excess of 45 years. During that time I have handled many types of cases ranging from transactional work to litigation over many disciplines such that I am able to give sound advice in most areas of the law and the wisdom to understand my own limitations that give me the good sense to seek out experts in areas of the law that I am not familiar with. My philosophy is that while I can be many things to many people I cannot be all things to all people.

I see nothing wrong with client's educating themselves on issues of law. The problem is that many people interpret information without fully understanding the legal issues that are raised in their case and often gives them an incorrect conclusion. The benefit is that they at least get some understanding of the legal issues which can then be corrected by a professional.
