Ms. Loevy was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. She attended the University of New Orleans where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance. In 1991, she graduated with a law degree from the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law at the University of Memphis.
Ms. Loevy has been practicing social security disability law for the past 20 years. She is a member of the Memphis Bar Association and has served as Chairperson of the Social Security Disability Section.
