Law Offices of Barbara B. Comerford concentrates its practice in the area of disability law.
Since Ms. Comerford began the private practice of law in 1985, she has made it her mission to make every effort to approach her clients' needs with kindness and compassion. Our staff reflects that commitment. Our associates, bilingual paralegals and legal assistants take the time to listen, and to assist clients through the maze of forms, and bureaucracy which can often overwhelm them. And when our clients' legal needs require outside assistance, we refer them to others who may be able to help them. In that sense, we take a holistic approach to the law. We understand that a call to our firm usually reflects months of anguish about whether to retain an attorney to help navigate through the disability process. Contrary to the public perception, most people call a disability lawyer when they simply have no other choice.
While Barbara Comerford began her legal practice in 1985 representing personal injury plaintiffs, as well as disability clients, in the late 1990's, she made a decision to concentrate her practice on assisting disabled clients. Since that time, she has referred all personal injury cases to law firms with vast experience in personal injury matters. However, Ms. Comerford encourages those clients to continue to reach out to her if they have any other legal questions or concerns.
Our firm remains committed to zealously representing clients with disability claims against the Social Security Administration, long term disability insurance companies (ERISA and individual disability income policies) as well as state disability pensions. Ms. Comerford has more than two decades of experience in this field and has earned a reputation for working hard to ensure that her clients are protected, and that their rights are zealously guarded.
