Helping Your Business Survive & Thrive

Firm Overview

Welcome to my Web site. My name is Jill Douthett. I'm an AV-rated attorney who works with business owners who want excellent, accessible, cost-effective legal counsel to help them start, grow and manage their businesses.

I spent more than twenty years in Philadelphia representing a host of businesses, from start-up sole proprietors to Fortune 500 companies to the City of Philadelphia, in everything from antitrust and securities to labor and employment, competitive bidding and procurement, construction disputes, toxic torts and environmental claims and the pursuit of insurance coverage to pay for it all. I tried cases all over the country in federal and state courts, with and without juries. I've seen all kinds of things that go wrong, and I've got good ideas about how to keep them from happening. And I know the true cost of having to litigate disputes. It's not just lawyers' fees and court costs; it's the emotional turmoil, daily distractions, and sleepless nights that result when legal problems are not anticipated, diagnosed, acknowledged, and addressed, timely and appropriately.

I like to show clients how to make cost-effective improvements to the way they do business every day to spare them the turmoil and expense of bigger problems down the road, and I would welcome the opportunity to talk with you and discuss how I may be of service to you and your business.
