Workers Compensation

Fighting for money and medical care for employees who have been injured as a result of their work. "We know where the benefits are buried."

Attorney with 38 years of experience litigating workers compensation disputes. Certified as a Specialist in Workers Compensation by the State Bar of California.

How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?

Over the years, we have seen numerous ":reforms" in California Workers Compensation laws that have made it increasingly more difficult for the average person to navigate the system. Increasingly, employers and their insurance carriers are taking advantage of the complexities and limitations of the new laws to prevent injured workers from obtaining benefits to which they are legitimately entitled. Based on this we have decided to focus our efforts on representing injured workers before the Workers Compensation Appeals Board.

What experience or education distinguishes your lawyers from others?

Originally learning Workers Compensation law and practice while employed by a major insurance carrier as a claims examiner, Mr. Stevens began focusing his practice on California Workers Compensation practice. Thereafter, he spent many years as an attorney defending the insurance companies and even teaching the law to insurance professionals. Because of this deep involvement, we know where the money and benefits are buried and we can help our clients pry them loose.

What distinguishes your law firm from others?

Aside from the depth of knowledge and experience, our watchword is "responsiveness." We strive to keep you informed of everything happening in your case as it happens. We will return your calls and emails within 24 hours and more quickly whenever possible. We provide updates whenever anything happens to affect the unresolved issues in your case and no less often than every 45-60 days until your case is resolved.
