Personal Injury -Lawyer Dedicated to Fighting For Our Clients.

Firm Overview

Personal injuries can happen for any number of reasons, but motor vehicle and pedestrian accidents are some of the most common causes. Here is a run down of what you should do if you were involved in an accident.

If you are involved in an accident, you never know what effect your words may have. Therefore, it is always best to limit what you say and talk about the accident with your attorney first.

A picture tells a thousand words and today, with everyone having a mobile phone handy, this can be the best way to gather evidence. Be sure to take pictures of the accident and the vehicles involved at different angles documenting any damage that occurred. If you sustained injuries, take pictures of those as well.

Make sure to exchange information with everyone involved in the accident including the names addresses, telephone numbers, insurance cards and driver’s licenses of both drivers and passengers. Taking a picture of the identification information will ensure that all the data you gathered is correct. If there were any witnesses at the scene, you should get their information as well. That way your attorney can contact them to provide information that can help you build your case.

When you are involved in a car accident, you may think that the injuries you sustained do not require medical attention. However, oftentimes, people refuse medical attention but start experiencing symptoms a few days afterward. When this happens, it is difficult to trace the injuries to the accident. Opposing parties will try to say the injuries were related to other circumstances.

What's more, internal injuries may not be immediately apparent, but they can become life-threatening if left untreated. This can cause the cost of treatment to skyrocket and lead to unwanted health complications in the future.

To keep this from happening, seek medical treatment from the beginning. That way there will be records of any injuries sustained at the accident that can be traced to how they progress over time.

The Law Office of Georgia Anderson can help clients receive compensation for common car accident injuries including the following:
Spinal cord injury
Lacerations and Contusions
Broken Bones and Fractures
Traumatic Brain Injuries
Internal Organ Damage
Internal Bleeding
Loss of Limbs

It is important to protect your rights in the event of a car accident and the best way to do that is to speak to an attorney. A good lawyer will help you collect evidence to build a strong case. He or she will assess damages to make sure you get the proper compensation for your injuries.
Insurance companies may want to take a statement from you immediately after an accident. However, if you talk to an insurance agent before you talk to a lawyer, you may say things that implicate you and keep you from becoming fairly compensated. It is best to talk to a lawyer before speaking to any type of insurance agent.

In order to stay organized, keep a file of all accident-related documents and information in one file. This should include a claim number, the contact information for the claim’s adjuster handling the case, the name and phone number of anyone involved in the accident and the receipts for any expenses related to the accident.

If you were involved in an accident, it can change your life forever. Insurance companies will try to give you lowball offers that don’t come near to covering your expenses. Don’t let them get away with it. Call the Law Offices of Georgia Anderson to get the justice you deserve.

When you get injured and go to a doctor or hospital for treatment, you expect to be treated with the utmost care. However, there are times when patients are denied proper care. This can lead to the worsening of a condition; it can cause other conditions to arise or death. According to the National Academy of Science, approximately 98,000 Americans die and hundreds of thousands of others are injured due to the negligence and misconduct of a health care provider.
