Ayesha Meekins

Mrs. Meekins is a native of Richmond Virginia. She graduated cum laude from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice in 2008. She graduated from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill in 2011 with a Juris Doctor Degree. She was admitted to the Virginia State Bar that same year.

Mrs. Meekins is an experienced, compassionate, and energetic traffic and criminal defense attorney practicing in Richmond and surrounding areas. Mrs. Meekins has been a zealous advocate for her clients since she began her career as an assistant public defender in the city of Richmond. She spent nearly 4 years in the Public Defender's office and during that time she gained a wealth of knowledge and experience. Her practice varied from handling serious and violent crimes, traffic matters, juvenile delinquency and working as a mental health advocate for individuals charged with crimes who suffered from mental illness. After her time in the Public Defender'™s office, she entered into private practice where she continued to represent clients on criminal and traffic matters.

Since establishing her own firm, Mrs. Meekins pursues her passion for juveniles by defending and advocating for them. While also defending those charged with traffic and criminal offenses, she is also a certified guardian ad litem. Because of Mrs. Meekins sincere passion for juveniles, she fights to protect the futures of juveniles who are charged with criminal offenses by making sure that they have competent and effective representation. Mrs. Meekins is experienced, cares about her clients, and has demonstrated success in the court room.
