Estate planning involves more than preparing a Will or Trust.
Do you need a Trust or is a Will sufficient? What do you want to accomplish with your estate planning? Reduce or avoid estate taxes, make sure a special needs child is protected, make provisions for grandchildren? Will your estate be subject to estate taxes? What happens if you die without a Will? Do you need a durable power of attorney? Do you want an advanced healthcare directive? What is an advanced healthcare directive? Who should be named as the beneficiary on insurance polices, IRA's and 401k's? What assets should be placed in a Trust? You should sit down with an attorney to answer your questions and discuss your estate planning needs and options.
