NORTH CAROLINA CAR ACCIDENT LAWYER
FIGHTING TO PROTECT YOUR RIGHTS AS AN INJURY VICTIM Have you or a family member been seriously injured in a car accident? Any type of vehicle accident (truck, motorcycle, SUV) may have serious consequences for a victim, including physical injuries, financial problems and emotional trauma. It's important to consider your potential right to monetary compensation, as this may significantly improve your ability to rebuild and move on with your life. Thousands of innocent people are killed and countless more are seriously injured in auto accidents every year. If you have been injured in an auto accident in North Carolina, it's in your best interest to speak with an attorney about your legal right to possible compensation. A North Carolina personal injury lawyer at Lanier Law Group, P.A. can review the facts of your claim, speak with your insurance company, and help you get the claims process started. Car accident claims Car accident statistics are rather disheartening. Every year, tens of thousands of people lose their lives and millions of people are injured in these accidents. Below are traffic accident statistics from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) for 2009: Some 33,808 people were killed and 2,217,000 were injured in traffic accidents reported to law enforcement. In North Carolina, 1,314 people were killed in car accidents. 28 percent of these collisions were DWI related, involving at least one driver who had a blood alcohol concentration of 0.08 percent or greater, which is above the legal limit to operate a motor vehicle in the state. While the insurance company should pay you a lump sum for all expenses relating to the accident, in many cases it's not enough. As an accident victim, you have legal rights that entitle you to compensation if you can establish that the accident was caused by the recklessness or negligence of another. At our firm, we can help establish that another party was at fault and thus is liable for damages. Our objective is to help you recover the compensation needed for medical bills, lost income, pain and suffering and mental anguish. Truck accident claims Though car accidents are more common, the aftermath of a truck accident can be far more severe. At Lanier Law Group, P.A., we've successfully helped victims of 18 wheeler accidents caused by hazardous road conditions, fatigued drivers and even tire blow outs. If you've been the victim of a truck accident in the state of North Carolina, our experienced team of lawyers is in your corner.
