Julie C. Hancock is an attorney who knows the challenges facing today's creators, innovators and entrepreneurs and wants to help them share and protect their unique creations.
From a very young age, Julie has been surrounded by music and art, and wanted to be a rock star, singing into her hairbrush mic. But she eventually saw her talents were better suited for behind-the-scenes. She started by promoting local artists in Wisconsin, Boston, and Orlando, then spent several years in Hollywood, working at the American Film Institute and coordinating their annual film festival.
Julie's virtual law practice almost exclusively handles business immigration matters. This runs the spectrum in providing legal services to employers and foreign nationals seeking to be employed in any number of ways in the U.S. (traditional employment, artists, musicians, filmmakers, cultural event performers, small businesses, entrepreneurs, and all scenarios in between.) Being intimately involved in the journey of the creators, innovators and entrepreneurs, Julie is well-versed in the complexities faced concerning digital content and the internet. She wants to make creative works more accessible while protecting artistic property and its revenue streams.
Known for her transparency, honesty, compassion, and pursuit of social justice, she is also a passionate traveler and immerses herself in other cultures, meeting and discussing challenges faced by artists. She loves sampling local flavors and brews and has a soft spot for Guinness.
