Criminal Defense

I represent clients who have been charged DUI and all criminal charges. Call me so that I can put my more than 26 years of experience to work for you today.

I have more than 26 years of courtroom experience and I have tried more than 80 cases. When I first started my career, I served the people of Pinellas County as a Prosecutor for more than 6 years. During my career, I have represented criminal clients charged with such crimes as Murder, Armed Robbery, Capital Sexual Battery, Burglary, Trafficking in Drugs, Child Abuse, Domestic Violence, DUI and other criminal traffic offenses.

How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?

Criminal Defense/ and DUI defense is extremely interesting and rewarding to me. I enjoy having the opportunity to defend everyday people who have gotten themselves in a jam or tight spot and they need help to navigate through the criminal just system.

The system is complex and confusing and I like being able to defend my clients especially when perhaps the State has overcharged or wrongly charged them.

What experience or education distinguishes your lawyers from others?

I graduated from Stetson University College of Law in 1995. Stetson has one of the best trial practice programs in the country. Upon graduation, I worked as a prosecutor in the Pinellas County State Attorney's Office. During my 6 Years there, I handled and tried numerous cases. My 26 plus years of experience working as a prosecutor and now as a criminal defense attorney enables me to skillfully handle all aspects of a criminal case.

My philosophy when helping a client through the criminal process is that I know that when a person is facing a criminal charge or accusation, it is a stressful and confusing time. I strive to defend my clients in the best possible way. I make it a point to communicate with my clients frequently. I help them navigate through the criminal justice system. I inform my clients about the criminal justice system and what to expect. I pride myself on my ability to keep my clients informed and to shoot my clients straight. I'm honest and straight forward with my clients. I owe that to them and my experience is that my clients appreciate my honesty in dealing with them.
