John E. Underwood, P.C. is a single lawyer professional corporation affiliated with Thompson, O'Brien, Kemp and Nasuit, P.C. ("TOKN") where he is of counsel. TOKN is a business and litigation firm in Norcross, Gwinnett County, Georgia. Gwinnett County is in the metropolitan Atlanta area and is one of the fastest growing counties in the United States.

Mr. Underwood became affiliated with TOKN's litigation department in July 2001. He represents local governments, construction contractors and subcontractors, banks and credit unions, corporations, and individuals in the state and federal courts in Georgia.

Mr. Underwood's litigation practice encompasses government law, government contracts, personal injury, local government law, Constitutional law, administrative and regulatory law, business disputes, contract disputes, landlord tenant law, and employment law.

Mr. Underwood has extensive experience in state and local government law. He has served as a Special Assistant Attorney General and has represented the Georgia Secretary of State, the Georgia State Board of Realtors and the State Board of Real Estate Appraisers. He was formerly the Deputy County Attorney for Gwinnett County, in charge of litigation.

Mr. Underwood also has over ten years experience as a practicing Civil Engineer before graduating from law school. He has been a registered professional engineer with the State of Georgia since 1981. Since receiving his law degree in 1987, he has represented contractors, subcontractors, owners and local governments in numerous construction contract disputes.
