How frequently does your firm use mediation, arbitration, or collaborative law to resolve cases?
Each case is different. 90% or so of cases settle before trial, and mediation can be an effective tool for non-judicial resolution - particularly in those cases where the damages amount at issue justifies the expense of mediation. Most of my cases go through mediation, and at least half of them settle through the mediation process.
What are your firm's strengths and style?
The Firm's strength is a reputation of candor. We say what we mean and we mean what we say, and courts and opposing counsel take us at our word because of this reputation.
Our style is aggressive and thoughtful - we think carefully to develop winning strategies and aggressively pursue those strategies while maintaining the flexibility to adjust them to win using what one former adversary described as "litigation jiu jitsu"/
