How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?

I believe that criminal defense is a challenging area of law, but often one of the most enriching. Trying to combat against prosecutors requires a keen eye for detail and an ability to be three steps ahead of the game. It's often a high stakes situation and I thrive under the pressure, while I also deeply appreciate getting the chance to help a person fight for a better future.

What is your firm's point of view regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

I believe that clients should stay well-informed on all legal issues and am always willing to help them best understand the situation they are in.

Is your firm willing to review documents prepared by clients?

If a client offers a document that I feel will help me towards my goal of a successful result, I am always willing to review it.

Is your firm willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

In an initial consultation, the client and I will sit down to discuss the unique situation and decide upon the best way for me to offer my legal assistance.

Jeff Paulk

Law Office of Thomas & Paulk

Before my work at the Law Office of Thomas & Paulk, I served as a supervising attorney handling DUI, traffic, and misdemeanor cases before moving to become a Felony Prosecutor in the 13th Judicial District and later as the State Attorney's Office Liaison to Law Enforcement. By holding many different types of positions and levels within the legal industry, I have been able to understand all aspects of the law. I can my clients the full benefit of over a decade of knowledge.

My experience and complete immersion in the law throughout my life has given me a deep appreciation for the legal process. I understand the different steps that must be taken to get the desired result and how I can offer help to assist my clients in getting the outcome they want.

I am detail-oriented and work hard to give my clients the meticulous defense they deserve. I know that criminal defense cannot be crude or generalized, and I work hard to give every client the tailor-made solution that will best fit their needs.
