Tom Hudson is known nationally for the defense of drunk-driving cases. He is an author and educator, and is one of four lawyers in the State of Florida board-certified as an expert in DUI Defense. We don't just dabble in DUI defense.
The Hudson Law Office has been defending citizens accused of crimes since 1985, and has been located in Florida since 1996. Tom Hudson has tried over 300 jury trials, and has been a member of the Faculty of the National College for DUI Defense Summer Session since 2014. The Summer Session is taught at the Harvard Law School, and many of the country's best DUI lawyers come from all 50 states to hone their trial techniques. Tom Hudson is board-certified in DUI Defense, following a rigorous course of instruction and written and oral examinations in Honolulu in 2008. He has been re-certified twice since his original certification. He is also trained as an instructor in DWI Detection and Standardized Field Sobriety Testing, and is trained as a Florida Breath Test Operator. He has testified as an expert witness in field sobriety testing, and is the author of "The Drinker's Guide to Driving: The Secrets of DUI from One of America's Best DUI Lawyers," published in 2013. In addition to its work defending citizens accused of drunk driving offenses, the Hudson Law Office has a long history of advocacy for injured and homeless dogs and cats. Tom has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Animal Rescue Coalition of Sarasota since 2009.

At the Hudson Law Office, we encourage our clients to do their homework. It is our experience that the more our clients know about DUI laws, the more likely they are to want us on their team. For that reason, our website at www.DUISarasota.com or www.DUIBradenton.com is filled with articles on the nuances of DUI practice. We are flattered that more than one judge has our website bookmarked for quick reference to the complexities of DUI law in Florida.
Tom Hudson has pursued every educational opportunity, and has the reputation in the legal community as the lawyer that other lawyers ask, when they have a question about DUI Defense. Tom is formidable, but approachable, and his record speaks for itself. He is rated 10.0/10.0 (Superb) by Avvo.com, and has an AV Rating from Martindale-Hubbell, which is the highest possible rating for Legal Ability and Ethical Standards reflecting the confidential opinions of members of the Bar and Judiciary.
