Robert Hoglund, a graduate of Hamline University School of Law, founded the law firm of Hoglund, Chwialkowski & Mrozik, PLLC in October 1990. Robert started practicing exclusively in the area of Bankruptcy Law until he expanded the law firm's practice to include Social Security Disability Law in 1994. In 2009 Robert expanded the Social Security Disability practice to include Minnesota and Wisconsin. In 2010 the law firm expanded its practice in Social Security Disability Law to Ohio.
When Robert is not at the office, he enjoys spending time with his family. Together, they hunt, fish, and tend to participate in a variety of outdoor fun.
Keith is a general partner in the law firm whose primary responsibilities include a full time practice personally representing consumer bankruptcy claimants. He joined the law firm in 1992. With his partners, he started the law firm's Social Security Disability practice and represented claimants from initial consultation through administrative court hearings. He has represented claimants in matters concerning personal bodily injury and family law. He is involved in the planning and management for the law firm's business practices which now consists of representing claimants in consumer bankruptcy law and social security disability law.
When Keith is not in the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter on the weekends.
Marie joined the firm in 1998. She is a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, the Minnesota Association of Black Lawyers, and the Minnesota State Bar Association, where she currently serves as a member of the Education Committee. She has been a speaker in several educational programs concerning consumer bankruptcy and was quoted in the Minnesota Lawyer newspaper concerning the responsibility of attorneys to their clients in bankruptcy cases. She is admitted to practice in the Minnesota state and federal courts, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. Marie uses her knowledge and experience to partner with her clients so they can regain their financial footing.
Jeff is a member of the bankruptcy department at Hoglund, Chwialkowski & Mrozik, PLLC. As part of the bankruptcy department, Jeff assists clients with a wide variety of chapter 7 and chapter 13 issues. He has been at the fore front of the new bankruptcy laws enacted in 2005 working to guide his clients through the complicated bankruptcy laws. Also, he testified in front of the Minnesota State Senate advocating a change in the Minnesota homestead law. The change was enacted and, thus, helped to preserve homes for Minnesota residents. He helps his clients develop practical solutions to the financial hardships they are facing. Before joining the firm in 2001, Jeff participated in the consumer bankruptcy clinic at the University of Minnesota Law School. Accordingly, he brings a unique set of skills and experiences including an appreciation for and intimate understanding of the needs of our clients.
When Jeff is not at the office, he spends his time working around the house, spending time with his family (including his two dogs), outdoor activities (including hunting and fishing), and finding any way to relax.
Kris Whelchel is an attorney practicing consumer bankruptcy. She handles both Chapter 13 and Chapter 7 bankruptcy cases. She has been practicing in Minnesota since 2004. She received her J.D. from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. She also has degrees in English and Philosophy which she received from the University of Missouri.
Dawn's previous experience at the state court level makes her a valuable bankruptcy attorney as she well versed in all areas of the law and how they relate to your individual bankruptcy case. Dawn is admitted to practice in the State of Minnesota District Court and United States District Court for the District of Minnesota and enjoys working directly with clients on a daily basis.
When she is not practicing law, she enjoys playing volleyball and softball and is an avid supporter of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer 3-day/60-mile walk, participating every year since 2008.
Ann joined Hoglund, Chwialkowski & Mrozik in March 2013 and works exclusively in the firm's bankruptcy department. She counsels clients in the bankruptcy process and represents them at their court hearings in Federal District Court. Before joining Hoglund, Chwialkowski & Mrozik, Ann counseled clients seeking financial assistance for their medical care costs under Federal Medicaid laws.
In her free time, Ann enjoys traveling, cooking, attending sporting events and spending time with her husband and their yellow lab.
Gina Beckman practices exclusively in the bankruptcy department at Hoglund, Chwialkowski & Mrozik. While attending the University of St. Thomas School of Law, she participated in the consumer bankruptcy clinic where she assisted clients in filing Chapter 7 bankruptcy. She was also accepted into the externship program at St. Thomas where she had the opportunity of working with the Honorable Robert Kressel. Through the program she observed numerous bankruptcy hearings and conducted research related to most chapters of bankruptcy. Gina is passionate about helping people resolve their debt issues and getting a fresh start.
Outside of the office, Gina enjoys being active with family and friends. This includes skiing, snowmobiling, four-wheeling, camping and going on motorcycle rides with her husband.
Benjamin practices exclusively in the bankruptcy department at Hoglund, Chwialkowski & Mrozik. He joined the firm in November 2013 and works to help clients resolve their debt issues.
In his free time, Ben volunteers for Volunteer Lawyers Network and Wills for Heroes. Ben also enjoys golfing, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.
Megan joined Hoglund, Chwialkowski and Mrozik in September 2014, as an associate bankruptcy attorney. Practicing exclusively in bankruptcy, Megan's responsibilities include meeting and working with clients to resolve debt issues and representing them at their hearings in Federal District Court. Megan graduated cum laude from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, MN. While in law school, she received two CALI Awards for the top grade in the Legal Planning & Tax Clinic and the Business Law Clinic. Also during her time at William Mitchell, Megan volunteered as a Ramsey County Guardian ad Litem, worked for the National Child Protection Training Center, and participated in a corporate business law externship with the Valspar Corporation. Before law school, Megan earned degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Spanish from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities.
When she is not practicing law, Megan can be found cheering on the Minnesota Golden Gophers or trying out new restaurants around town! She is also passionate about coffee, seeing the world, staying active and spending time with family and friends!
