Haskell Law

Another word for attorney is counselor. As your counselor, my task is to guide, inform, and advise you, to insure that you are a full partner in resolving your legal issue or defense, and that all of your constitutional rights are protected.

Firm Overview

I keep my case load small enough to give each client and each case the full attention it, and you, deserve. Although I cannot assure you of the outcome of your case, I can promise you that your phone calls and emails will be answered promptly, that all of your questions will be answered, and that I will be with you every step of the way, to advise you and assist you through the often confusing and frightening legal system.

As a former prosecutor, I have experience in all areas of criminal defense

How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?

I served for more than three years as a Deputy Prosecutor. Most people believe the prosecutor represents the State--in fact, each prosecutor swears an oath to represent justice, which at times requires him or her to advocate for defendants. As a prosecutor I tried to guide my actions accordingly

As a defense attorney, it is my job to zealously advocate for your rights, holding the State to its obligation to protect your legal rights and do justice.

What experience or education distinguishes your lawyers from others?

In addition to a lawyer, I am a paramedic, flight instructor, scuba instructor, and martial arts instructor (and husband and father of three). Training in these diverse fields has provided me with experience with the widest variety of people, and with the judgment and coolness under pressure required of every good lawyer.

I hold the PhD and JD from Indiana University, and have taught at Oberlin College and Emory University.

What distinguishes your law firm from others?

Personalized attention and a partnership with my clients. From first call to final resolution, you will talk only to me. Folks tell me one of their greatest frustrations is lack of communication from their lawyer about their case. I pride myself on keeping every client informed on every development of their case--after all, it's your life in the balance, not mine--so you have an absolute right to be able to reach me at any time. I do my very best to return every phone call and email the same day.

I will give you all the time that you need to understand the issues involved in your case.

I will take no action regarding your case without first discussing it with you.

I will always tell it like it is.
