Auto & Truck Injuries Greenville Truck Accident Lawyer We have all been there driving on I-85 to Atlanta or Charlotte with your family when suddenly a tractor-trailer merges into your lane and cuts you off. There is nowhere to go, so you slam on your brakes and barely avoid the collision. I'll never forget how that happened to me while on our way to the airport. We were relieved to have avoided a family tragedy. Others have not been so lucky, and their lives have been turned upside down in an instant. If you have been injured or have suffered the loss of a loved one because of a truck driver, tractor-trailer, or commercial motor vehicle, we want to help you. Why should you hire us? Accidents involving tractor-trailers or commercial motor vehicles involve unique legal issues, so it is critical to retain legal counsel with experience in this specialized area. Driver fatigue, hours-of-service violations, and corporate disregard for public safety often contribute to truck accidents. Hammack Law Firm has more than 15 years' experience handling truck accident claims. Paul Hammack has defended large trucking companies for years, so he knows the industry and how to get the most out of every case. The aftermath of a truck accident can be devastating on a family, and the injuries and losses are often enormous. By law, tractor-trailers and other commercial motor vehicles involved in interstate commerce must carry a minimum of $750,000 in liability insurance coverage, and most carry limits of at least $1,000,000. There is a lot at stake, so you should not trust your case to an inexperienced lawyer who may not have the expertise to properly investigate the accident, the driver, and the trucking company. Experience matters At HLF, we take the time to dig deep into the facts and circumstances of the accident to determine the true cause. Was it caused by driver fatigue? Was the driver over-worked, or were they falsifying their hours-of-service logs? Does the company have satellite tracking for its trucks? Does the truck's "black box" or Event Data Controller show that the truck was speeding or that it made an aggressive maneuver just prior to the collision? If the accident was a result of equipment failure, did the driver do a proper pre-trip inspection, and did the company safety director properly train and supervise its drivers and have a proper maintenance program? These are all questions that are vital to a successful claim or lawsuit. Asking the right questionsand having the experience to know how to get complete answers to these questionscan mean the difference between an average recovery and life-changing recompense. Don't settle for anything less. Call or chat with HLF today. Truck accident victims and their families may be entitled to recover damages for physical, emotional, or financial losses suffered in an accident. Injured victims may recover the following damages: Medical expenses Property damage Lost wages or income Diminished earning capacity Emotional distress Pain and suffering Family member loss of consortium
