Firm Overview

I've committed my practice to helping clients find hope once again. Struggling with uncontrolled debt often leads to anxiety, stress, and concerns about the future. I recognize that financial matters can be personal and sensitive, which is why I approach each client with the compassion and care they need to feel confident, secure, and most importantly hopeful about the future again.

I have been practicing bankruptcy law since 2004 and have personally filed over 3,500 cases in the last ten years. I help families who are trying to provide a better life for their kids; people who are so stressed out, they can't remember not having a pit of dread in their stomach; and people who are literally sick and tired of living paycheck to paycheck and never getting ahead. I believe that everyone deserves a financial do-over, not to mention a little kindness. Our past doesn't have to determine who we are for the rest of our lives. We can decide that today we will make a change.

Bankruptcy

Many clients approach bankruptcy with apprehension or even fear. At Grady BK, we believe in making this process as smooth and straightforward as possible for you, enabling you to move forward with confidence.

We pride ourselves on being listeners first. As you describe the details of your situation and articulate your concerns, we'll determine the most strategic path forward. We never judge anyone for the position they find themselves in or the choices they have had to make. Instead, our role is to provide you with the empathy and understanding you need to resume control over your finances. Don't hesitate to ask questions, no matter how small. Our goal is to give you the compassion and confidence you need to rid yourself of financial stress and feel hopeful about the future once more.

I grew up in the North Country, came to Syracuse for law school, and never left (Go, Orange!). I earned my B.A. in Government in 2000 from St. Lawrence University, graduating magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. I then received my Juris Doctor in 2003 from Syracuse University College of Law, where I served as a member of the Moot Court Honor Society. Currently, I'm a member of NACBA (National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys), NYSBA (New York State Bar Association), OCBA (Onondaga County Bar Association), Vice President of the CNY Bankruptcy Bar Association, Standing Committee on Local Bankruptcy Rules (past member) and I volunteer with the Legal Aid Society.

On a personal note, I love the smell of freshly cut grass and the first big snowfall of the year (although, by January, I'm over it). I dislike bell peppers with every fiber of my being (and, before you ask, no - I can't pick them off the pizza - it's been ruined).

Bottom line: I'm passionate about helping people. Give me a call today and let's connect.
