All of our attorneys are former State prosecutors who have handled thousands of criminal cases from inception through disposition, which includes hundreds of criminal prosecutions for driving under the influence. The State of Florida imposes some of the harshest criminal penalties in the country upon individuals that are convicted for driving under then influence. Having prosecuted hundreds of cases for driving under the influence, our attorneys are uniquely equipped with the knowledge to defend against the most complex issues that arise in these prosecutions.
We employ a customized approach to legal representation and dismiss traditional one-size-fits-all methods of representation. At Fernandez Green, LLP, we realize that our clients' legal issues are independently unique, and we believe that the legal strategy employed must be specifically designed to address the complexities of the legal issues to be resolved. Rashad A. Green, Esq. is currently Co-founding Partner of the Tampa, Florida law firm of Fernandez Green, LLP. Mr. Green's practice is focused in the areas of criminal law, family law, and appellate litigation. In addition, Mr. Green currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Tampa Lawyers Chapter of the American Constitution Society for Law and Policy. Mr. Green is also a member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association, and the George Edgecomb Bar Association.
Prior to the founding of Fernandez Green, LLP., Mr. Green worked as an Associate Attorney at the Tampa, Florida office of Cole, Scott & Kissane, P.A. As an associate, Mr. Green's practice was focused in the areas of general civil litigation, including premises liability, vehicle negligence, professional malpractice, first-party insurance disputes, and sinkhole litigation.
Prior to joining Cole, Scott & Kissane, P.A., Mr. Green served as judicial law clerk to the Honorable Charles R. Wilson, Circuit Judge for the United States Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit. Mr. Green also served as an Assistant State Attorney for the 13th Judicial Circuit of Florida, where he handled thousands of criminal cases from inception through disposition and served as lead counsel in several bench and jury trials.
A native of Tallahassee, Florida, Mr. Green earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University. While earning his undergraduate degree, Mr. Green was an active member of the Pre-law Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, and he served as an intern at the Executive Office of the Governor. Mr. Green went on to earn his Juris Doctorate degree from Florida Coastal School of Law, where he graduated with pro-bono honors distinction. While in law school, he served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Monte C. Richardson, United States Magistrate Judge, Middle District of Florida. Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Green was awarded the Advanced Legal Research, Writing, and Drafting Certificate, which was presented for his excellence in legal research, analysis, oral advocacy, and writing.
From a young age, Mr. Green, developed aspirations to become a lawyer from his grandfather, Joseph Woodrow Hatchett, who served as Florida's first black Supreme Court Justice and as Circuit Judge for the United States Court of Appeals' Fifth and Eleventh Circuits, respectively. His close relationship with his grandfather also fostered the development of his passion for equal rights, fundamental fairness, and justice for all.
