The Farr Law Firm is home of Certified Elder Law Attorney and 4-time Best-Selling Author Evan H. Farr, one of the leading Elder Law, Medicaid Planning, Veterans Planning, Estate Planning, and Asset Protection Attorneys in Virginia, DC, and Maryland.
The Farr Law Firm focuses on Elder Law, Medicaid Asset Protection, Veterans Asset Protection, Estate Planning, Special Needs Planning, and Probate and Trust and Estate Administration. Farr Law Firm President Evan Farr, CELA, CAP is one of the foremost legal authorities in the Country in the field of Medicaid Asset Protection, Veterans Asset Protection, and related Trusts. The Farr Law Firm is dedicated to helping protect seniors and their families by preserving dignity, quality of life, and financial security. Evan Farr is the National Best Selling Author of 4 books in the field of Elder Law: "Protecting Your Assets from Probate and Long-Term Care: Donât Let the System Bankrupt You and Your Loved Ones," "How to Protect Your Assets From Probate PLUS Lawsuits PLUS Nursing Home Expenses with the Living Trust Plusâ¢"; the "Nursing Home Survival Guide," and Protect & Defend, which Evan authored along with a host of other top attorneys across the country.
Using a holistic and often proprietary approach, the Farr Law Firm uses a vast knowledge, understanding, and deep respect of the elderly to help our elderly clients obtain the highest quality care at the lowest possible cost, which typically involves protecting assets in order to become eligible to have Medicaid and/or Veterans Aid and Attendance benefits pay for the appropriate level of care â be it home health care, assisted living care, or nursing home care. Unfortunately, Medicaid eligibility rules are the most complex and confusing maze of legal rules in existence. The United States Supreme Court has called the Medicaid laws âan aggravated assault on the English language, resistant to attempts to understand it.â Schweiker v. Gray Panthers, 453 U.S. 34, 43 (1981). The United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit (just below the U.S. Supreme Court), in a case arising out of Virginia, has called the Medicaid Act one of the âmost completely impenetrable texts within human experienceâ and âdense reading of the most tortuous kind.â Rehab. Association of Virginia v. Kozlowski, 42 F.3d 1444, 1450 (4th Cir. 1994). Veteranâs Aid and Attendance rules are likewise also exceedingly complicated and often treacherous to navigate. Let Evan Farr and the Farr Law Firm provide you with expert and experienced asset protection planning and in-depth representation in connection with Medicaid and Veterans Aid and Attendance benefits, so you donât wind up possibly spending your entire life savings on long-term care, unnecessarily jeopardizing your future care and well-being, as well as the financial security of your family. We have four locations to serve you â call us at our Virginia Elder Law Fairfax office at 703-691-1888, at our Virginia Elder Law Fredericksburg office at 540-479-1435, our Maryland Elder Law office at 301-519-8041, or our DC Elder Law office at 202-587-2797 to make an appointment for an introductory consultation.
