Alexander Laufer has been a principal in the firm of Eisenhower & Laufer P.C., since 1994. He is a member of both the Virginia and Florida bars, admitted to all state and federal courts in both jurisdictions, whose practice is concentrated in real estate transactions and civil litigation (contracts and torts). Mr. Laufer has completed several thousand settlements, residential and commercial, including tax deferred exchanges and international transactions. He has also tried several hundred court cases.

Mr. Laufer grew up in Montreal, Canada but also lived in and attended school in Jerusalem as well as Johannesburg, South Africa. Mr. Laufer has traveled extensively and speaks four languages (English, French, Hungarian and Hebrew). He graduated (cum laude) in 1972 from Loyola College and after working for a year to earn the money for law school tuition, enrolled at the University of Florida School of Law in Gainesville, Florida where he was on the Dean's List every semester in attendance and graduated with High Honors in 1976.

Upon receiving his Juris Doctor, Mr. Laufer became associated with a major Tampa, Florida law firm where his practice was concentrated in the areas of private and government contract litigation. Thereafter, Mr. Laufer spent several years as a litigator and managing attorney with Bay Area Legal Services and in 1980 co-founded the firm of Laufer, Ruiz & Skelton, P.C., in Tampa, expanding his practice to include real estate transactions and family law.
