Medical Malpractice
We represent people and families injured by the carelessness of doctors and hospitals. We exclusively handle medical negligence and wrongful death cases.
The Eisen Law Firm has represented victims of medical negligence and wrongful death for more than 20 years. Our exclusive focus on these types of cases has enabled us to develop expertise in this very complicated area of the law. We represent people and families with all kinds of severe and permanent injuries, including birth injury, brain injury, stroke injury, death, and other catastrophic injuries. What sets us apart from most "personal injury" firms is our absolute devotion to clients who have been injured by medical mistakes. We have the financial, medical, and legal resources to take on even the most sophisticated and well-regarded doctors and hospitals.

How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?

Our firm has handled medical negligence and wrongful death cases for decades. We decided to focus on this area of practice because hundreds of thousands of people each year are killed by medical negligence and many more are injured. Too often, "personal injury" lawyers are focused on car accidents and slip and fall cases, and they do not have the focus necessary to help victims of careless doctors and hospitals. We view ourselves and our firm as patient safety advocates, and we seek to use the judicial system to hold accountable folks whose carelessness results in serious injury. The hope is that we can both get justice and full compensation for our clients and create incentives for doctors and hospitals to change their policies and procedures to maximize patient safety.

What experience or education distinguishes your lawyers from others?

Before graduating from Harvard Law School, our managing partner, Brian Eisen, received a neurobiology degree from Harvard College. This education has enabled him to understand quickly the medical and scientific issues as well as the legal issues involved in complicated medical negligence cases. Our ability to grasp the medicine and to convey it simply to a jury really distinguishes us from other attorneys who handle these types of cases.

What distinguishes your law firm from others?

What really sets us apart is our single-minded focus on medical negligence and wrongful death matters. We are not a lawsuit factory. We do not take on dozens and dozens of clients every year. We very carefully select the cases we handle, and then we work those cases relentlessly. We also do not advertise our services. Almost all of our clients come from word of mouth and from other lawyers who have seen us in action.

We have the financial resources, access to medical experts, and legal acumen to handle any medical negligence or wrongful death case. And we focus both on getting full compensation for our clients and changing the behavior of the medical establishment, so that the mistakes that led to our clients' injuries aren't repeated. That is why we consider ourselves both lawyers and patient safety advocates.

Brian Eisen

There is no substitute for decades of experience spent winning multimillion-dollar settlements and verdicts in medical malpractice cases. I have done exactly that by focusing exclusively on cases involving medical negligence and wrongful death.
