Criminal Defense

We handle all types of criminal cases (felony, misdemeanor and juvenile) including: DUI, drug offenses, theft, battery, domestic violence and sex crimes.

We have been involved exclusively in criminal cases for the past 16 years with a vast amount of experience in all areas of criminal defense.

What are your firm's strengths and style?

Our firm is dedicated solely to the practice of criminal defense. We focus on safeguarding the constitutional rights of our clients and represent them with zeal in the courtroom. Because we only take criminal cases, our clients benefit from not having the attorney's focus divided between numerous areas of the law.

Scott Dowdy

Dowdy Law Office

Scott obtained his undergraduate degree from Boise State University and then attended the University of South Dakota and University of Idaho for his law degree. Once he passed the bar exam in 1999, he worked for one year as legal clerk for a district judge in Twin Falls Idaho. After his clerkship was over, Scott worked as a prosecuting attorney for Boise City for four years before deciding to open his own firm in 2004. After a few years, Scott decided to dedicate his practice to criminal defense so that he could focus on protecting the constitutional rights of those accused of crimes. Scott prides himself on providing legal representation at a fair and affordable price. He is dedicated to making sure that his clients receive fair treatment and fights to protect their rights in court.
