Now, Kala focuses her practice on representing individuals who have been injured due to the negligence or carelessness of others. She is admitted to practice in West Virginia State Courts, as well as Federal Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of West Virginia.

Kala was born and raised in Crown City, Ohio. For her undergraduate studies, she attended Marshall University in Huntington, WV, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Business Administration. Thereafter, Kala received her law degree from West Virginia University College of Law. During law school, Kala was a member of the Law Review serving as an Associate Editor as well as Notes and Articles Selection Editor. She received the CALI Academic Excellence Award for the highest grade in the class in Property I, Business Transactions Drafting, and Trial Advocacy. Upon graduation, Kala was ranked in the top 15% of her class.

Jon Richard Godwin is a native son of Morgantown and proud West Virginian. Jon graduated from Morgantown High School before attending West Virginia University. After earning his B.A., he chose to attend the West Virginia University College of Law.
