Mr. Colombo has a tremendous amount of experience and success in handling cases involving automobile accidents, tractor trailer accidents, workplace accidents, and other serious personal injuries. Mr. Colombo has handled numerous cases involving wrongful death, brain injury, quad/paraplegic cases and other serious injuries where the stakes are very high. He has been involved in many wrongful death and personal injury cases where settlements have exceeded a million dollars.

Travis Mohler

Colombo Law

Attorney Travis Mohler concentrates his practice on representing individuals who have been injured or killed by the negligence or carelessness of others. He has experience in litigating claims involving wrongful death, catastrophic injuries, "deliberate intent" (workplace accidents), construction accidents, industrial accidents, and tractor trailer accidents. Travis also focuses his practice on representing consumers injured by defective products in product liability actions. In addition, Travis routinely represents clients in claims involving trucking accidents, motor vehicle accidents, and other personal injury claims.

Since joining Colombo Law in 2007, Travis has served as co-counsel on many wrongful death and catastrophic injury verdicts and settlements. Along with Dino Colombo, Mr. Mohler has served as co-counsel on multi-million dollar settlements on behalf of clients who were catastrophically injured or killed by the negligence of others.

In 2012, Travis was selected for membership into The National Trial Lawyers: Top 40 Under 40. This membership is by invitation only and is extended exclusively to those trial lawyers who exemplify superior qualifications, trial results, and leadership as a young lawyer under the age of 40.

In 2015, Travis was nominated by his peers and selected as a Super Lawyers Rising Star; an award limited to the top 2 1/2 percent of lawyers under 40 in each state.

Mr. Mohler is a member of the West Virginia Bar Association, The National Trial Lawyers, SuperLawyers, and the American Association for Justice.

Kala Sowers

Attorney Kala Sowers joined Colombo Law in 2014. Previously a defense attorney, Kala has experience litigating a wide range of personal injury cases including car wrecks, pedestrian accidents, slip and falls, wrongful death, and deliberate intent. Now, Kala focuses her practice on representing individuals who have been injured due to the negligence or carelessness of others. She is admitted to practice in West Virginia State Courts, as well as Federal Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of West Virginia.

Kala was born and raised in Crown City, Ohio. For her undergraduate studies, she attended Marshall University in Huntington, WV, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Business Administration. Thereafter, Kala received her law degree from West Virginia University College of Law. During law school, Kala was a member of the Law Review serving as an Associate Editor as well as Notes and Articles Selection Editor. She received the CALI Academic Excellence Award for the highest grade in the class in Property I, Business Transactions Drafting, and Trial Advocacy. Upon graduation, Kala was ranked in the top 15% of her class.

In her spare time, Kala enjoys attending Mountaineer sporting events and working out. She resides in Morgantown with her husband, Kevin.

Jon Godwin

Colombo Law

Jon Richard Godwin is a native son of Morgantown and proud West Virginian. Jon graduated from Morgantown High School before attending West Virginia University. After earning his B.A., he chose to attend the West Virginia University College of Law.

Jon's practice primarily focuses on Personal Injury Litigation and representing people that have been injured due to the negligence or carelessness of others. Since joining Colombo Law in 2013, he has acted in numerous roles in recovering verdicts and settlements on behalf of Colombo Law's clients. He enjoys not only fighting for his clients, but also building relationships with them. Jon enjoys taking on challenging cases, and is proud to now have the opportunity to serve fellow residents of West Virginia.
