Auto Accident

Our attorneys handle all types of car accidents, including truck and commercial vehicle accidents, tire blowouts and rollovers, hit and runs, ride-sharing (UBER / Lyft) accidents, pedestrian accidents, motorcycle accidents and road defect accidents.

Car and truck accidents cause a variety of injuries that often require costly imaging (such as CTs and MRIs), physical therapy, procedures such as radiofrequency ablation, and even surgery on the thoracic and cervical spine. Many victims are left with chronic pain and physical disability that causes loss of income and loss of enjoyment of life. We will work to fully investigate all claims and parties, preserve all evidence and dismantle frivolous defenses so that you receive the compensation you deserve, including past, present and future lost income, past, present and future medical expenses, and just compensation for pain and suffering.

What distinguishes your law firm from others?

At Davies Hothem Injury Law, our mission is simply to bring hope and healing not only to our injured clients, but to women, children and veterans in our community. Kristy and Jennifer believe wholeheartedly that the ability to practice law is a privilege, and with that privilege comes the responsibility to support others in need. For this greater purpose, we have proudly partnered with local non-profits like Gateway Domestic Violence Center and We Care Hall County to distribute quarterly donations in equal parts to these organizations. These donations are funded solely from attorney's fees earned on each case and do not affect our client's recovery in any way.

Kristy Davies

A 2010 graduate of Florida State University of Law and 2006 magna cum laude graduate of The University of Georgia, Kristy began her career representing victims of crime as an Assistant State Attorney in the First Judicial Circuit of Florida. In just 18 months, Kristy honed her trial skills as lead prosecutor in over 20 jury trials.

A Georgia native with considerable trial experience, Kristy was soon recruited by a prominent personal injury firm that specialized in catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases. For 7 years, Kristy obtained many multi-million dollar settlements and jury verdicts against auto manufacturers, trucking companies and other giants whose negligent acts resulted in catastrophic harm. Kristy knows the devastation experienced by victims and their family members when someone suffers paralysis, dismemberment, a traumatic brain injury or death as the result of someone else's negligent acts. She also knows the extent to which insurance companies, trucking companies, and auto manufacturers will deny responsibility and compensation for these injuries, and the dedication required to successfully litigate these claims.

Kristy has consistently been named as a Super Lawyers Rising Star, which recognizes the top 2.5% of attorneys under 40 in Georgia. She is an active member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association and was selected to participate in the 2016-2017 LEAD program, which recognizes outstanding lawyers with a potential for leadership in the legal and political communities. Kristy is a co-author of two editions of Commercial Transportation, a survey published by Mercer Law Review and has served as a speaker for continuing education.

Kristy lives with her husband, Dustin Davies, and their three children in Gainesville, Georgia where she is an active member of her community. Kristy believes the practice of law at Davies Hothem connects her faith and career as she serves others in need. In Micah 6:8, the Lord commands his followers to act justly, to love mercy and to walk humbly with God. For his Glory, Kristy's passion is to take hardship, suffering, loss, and all the things the enemy intends for evil, and turn it into something good - justice for her clients that paves a path to physical, emotional and mental recovery. It is through this passion and faith that assistance funds such as the Davies Hothem Domestic Violence Legal Fund was founded. Kristy is actively involved in her church, Gainesville First United Methodist Church, the Path Project at Baker Glover, the Telford Child Advocacy Center, Gateway Domestic Violence Center and Marketplace benefiting Safe Kids Hall County.

Davies Hothem Injury Law
Jennifer Hothem

While studying History at the University of Georgia, Jennifer began her legal career at 18 as a paralegal where Jennifer's passion for advocacy was born. During her second year of law school, Jennifer welcomed a baby boy, all the while juggling the demands of law school and two prestigious clerking positions. Jennifer served two terms for the Superior Court of Hall County, once before the Honorable Jason Deal and again before the Honorable David Burroughs. After graduating from John Marshall Law School in 2016, Jennifer started her own firm specializing in family and child advocacy. In just 4 years, Jennifer has spent thousands of hours advocating in the courtroom and has litigated hundreds of civil cases as lead counsel. In addition to this litigation, Jennifer has served as a court-appointed Guardian ad Litem for children throughout North Georgia, many of whom were victims of neglect and abuse. Through her role as a Guardian ad Litem, and a court-appointed juvenile advocate, Jennifer gives innocent children a voice and opportunity to be heard. Needless to say, Jennifer knows her way around a courtroom.

Outside of the courtroom, Jennifer serves on the board of We Care, a non-profit organization that provides assistance to children and their families that may not qualify for conventional public assistance. A native of Northern California, Jennifer's family moved to Flowery Branch in 1996. She now resides in Gainesville, Georgia with her husband, also an attorney, and their three children. In her free time, Jennifer enjoys family activities on Lake Lanier and is an avid kickboxer.

It was through her role in child and family advocacy that Jennifer honed a deep passion for those who have suffered injury or wrongful death. Sharing this passion, Jennifer and Kristy partnered together in 2021 to form Davies Hothem Injury Law. Jennifer and Kristy have the skills, experience and, most importantly, fierce passion to get you or your loved one justice after suffering an injury. If you or a loved one has suffered injury or wrongful death, call Jennifer or Kristy at Davies Hothem Injury Law today.
