Born, raised, and educated in Chicago, Amy has always dedicated herself to helping the community. No matter the setting, her concern for others has always set her apart. Beginning her career as a high school English teacher in Chicago's inner city, she was interested in fighting for people who had no voice from a young age. Continuing in that tradition, Amy received her JD and a master of laws degree in employee benefits from The John Marshall Law School to advocate for employees and small businesses' rights.
During law school, Amy was the president of The John Marshall Law School's Employee Benefits Student Association. She also traveled the country as the student representative for employee benefits law to the American Bar Association. Amy honed her court skills in law school by participating in moot court. She worked for a Cook County Circuit Court judge, Perkins Coie LLP, and U.S. Senator Richard J. Durbin. Amy graduated summa cum laude from Northeastern Illinois University with a degree in English and Secondary Education. Amy worked as a waitress to pay for college. She gets what it's like out there. She's the down-to-earth attorney you need to guide you through your employment and employee benefits law issues. She's the lawyer you need in your back pocket to get the job done.
