Coughlan's Law, PLLC.
Joe Coughlan

Joseph "Joe" Coughlan Esq. represents those who have been injured throughout the State of Florida.

Joe knows what it is like to deal with insurance companies when a loved one is suffering and how important it is to have someone on your side.

Throughout his formative years, Joe's eldest sister battled a serious and ultimately fatal chronic illness. His family had to engage in constant battles with insurance companies to get her the treatment and benefits she deserved. This helped teach Joe the value of serving those in need, working hard, and giving back to the community.

Early in his career, Joe committed more than a decade in group homes caring for children and adults with severe cognitive conditions. Despite his passion for this service, he knew he could do more to help others by pursuing a law degree.

While attending Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University College of Law, Joe remained active in the community, proudly serving as Business Managing Editor of the Law Review, President of Stonewall LGBTQA Law Student Association, Judicial Extern with the Office the Judges of Compensation Claims.

After graduating from law school with honors, Joe gained valuable experience as an attorney with several notable law firms that served as defense counsel - for the insurance companies. It was a place to start, but certainly not where he wanted to stay.

In 2020, Joe took everything he had learned and brought it with him to Coughlans Law. Here, he uses his in-depth knowledge of insurance companies for the benefit of his clients: good, hardworking people like his own family, who just need someone to guide them through complex legal processes.

Joe is proud of where he has come from and the way he practices law: defending the underdog at a firm that respects clients, taking the time to discuss all client concerns, and working tirelessly to get clients the best possible results.
