Lauren holds the degree of Juris Doctor from University of Minnesota Law School with an emphasis in Business Law, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Applied Economics and Management and Communications from Cornell University. Lauren currently resides in Los Angeles, CA.
While in law school, Lauren focused primarily on bankruptcy law and competed in the Annual Duberstein Bankruptcy Moot Court Competition at St. John's University in New York City. Lauren managed the bankruptcy clinic in law school to provide community services to low income individuals. She served as Secretary of the Native American Law Student Association.

Yelena was born in Russia and immigrated to the United States at the age of 6 with her family. Yelena grew up in Los Angeles, CA, and after completing high school, went on to be the first in her family to graduate from a University, and thereafter graduate from Law School.

Pauliana has dedicated much of her legal career fighting for consumer rights and protecting victims of consumer fraud through aggressive advocacy and litigation. Matthew E. Faler joined Consumer Action Law Group in 2016. Mr. Faler is a managing associate [attorney] at the firm, focusing on auto fraud litigation. Mr Faler has successfully litigated cases against dealers that engage in fraud, and has initiated lawsuits against hundreds of dealers throughout the state of California.
Previously, Matt was a sole practicioner, concentrating on Chapters 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy cases. Mr. Faler graduated from the University of Washington with a B.A. in Accounting. Before earning his J.D. from the University of San Diego, Mr. Faler was a Field Artillery Captain in the U.S. Army. Mr. Faler is a member of the California State Bar.

Armine gained extensive legal experience and training during her externship at the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office before joining the firm. Farah A. Ballout joined Consumer Action Law Group in 2015. She is an associate attorney focusing on employment cases such as wrongful termination and wage and hour claims.
Ms. Ballout obtained her law degree from Western State University, College of Law in December of 2014 where she was the Fundraising Chair for the Intellectual Property and Technology Legal Society and a member of the Latino Student Bar Association. She is also a member of Phi Alpha Delta, the International Law Fraternity-Burger Chapter. Previously, she had attended California State University, Northridge, where she obtained her B.A in political science, graduating Cum Laude in 2010. There, she was a head delegate for the Model United Nations team. Ms. Ballout is a member of the California State Bar as well as the Orange County Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
