J.P. "Pete" Cline is a seasoned trial attorney whose corporate law experience has given him substantial insight into banking law and corporate transactions.
Pete. Cline graduated magna cum laude from Eastern Kentucky University and received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Kentucky in 1974. He is admitted to practice in all Kentucky state courts, the Sixth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals, and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern District of Georgia and the Eastern District of Tennessee.
Pete Cline is a member of the Bell County Bar Association, where he served as secretary / treasurer from 1976-1979; the Kentucky Bar Association; and the Kentucky Academy of Trial Lawyers.
He has been a director at First State Financial since 1988. Prior to private practice he was counsel to Harbert Corporation Coal Operations for eight years.

Romell D. Johnson is a 21 year employee of Cline Law Office. Ms. Johnson began her legal career with Pete Cline during his tenure in corporate law. When Cline Law Office was established, Ms. Johnson was engaged as the firm's paralegal. During her employment, Ms. Johnson has developed significant paralegal skills in litigation, document management and interpretation of medical reports for injured clients. She also serves as an important contact person for clients and insures prompt response to client inquiries and concerns. Ms. Johnson is an important member of the Cline Law Office team.
Runada Brown is the newest member of the Cline Law Office clerical staff. Ms. Brown is responsible for word processing and other clerical duties, and she serves as personal secretary to attorney Stephanie B. Chadwell.
