Firm Overview

Sara Barnett is a partner in the law firm of Spragins, Barnett & Cobb, PLC. Spragins, Barnett & Cobb is one of the oldest law firms in Jackson, Tennessee dedicated to serving clients so that they can achieve their objectives. The Firm represents many of Jackson's most creative business people and is a dominant force in the region's legal community. Spragins, Barnett & Cobb has a diverse client base and professional talent. The Firm's Elder Law Section, headed by Sara Barnett, strives to protect seniors and their families from long term health care costs and with estate planning. The high cost of long-term care has made planning an important issue for most seniors and their families. Most people will likely require some form of long-term care in their lifetime. Unfortunately, many of them are unprepared for the significant financial burdens it places on their savings. Some local nursing homes cost more than $10,500 per month for a private room. Sara Barnett and her team assists seniors and their families in pre-planning for the future as well as crisis planning. Crisis Medicaid Planning occurs when the senior has received an extremely serious medical diagnosis, most commonly when hospital or rehabilitation facility medical personnel have determined that he or she cannot return home after rehab. We can assist seniors and their families in financially managing this situation.
