Stephen P. Casarino

Stephen P. Casarino was a founding member of the firm who retired on December 31, 2013. Mr. Casarino had a distinguished career as an attorney and is among the most experienced litigation attorneys in the State of Delaware. Mr. Casarino's distinguished practice involved civil litigation and appellate practice for over 40 years. He was a Member of the International Society of Barristers, a Fellow with the American College of Trial Lawyers, a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, and the only attorney in Delaware to hold the rank of Diplomat in that organization, having handled more than 100 jury trials to verdict during his career. Each of these organizations admit members only by invitation who meet high standards of advocacy and professionalism and Mr. Casarino was one of very few attorneys in Delaware to be invited to join all of these organizations.

Mr. Casarino holds an AV rating in the Martindale-Hubbell Bar Register. He was a graduate of University of Delaware, obtaining his B.A. in 1963 and Catholic University of America, receiving his LL.B. in 1966. Colin M. Shalk was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1947. She studied law at Temple University Beasley School of Law where she obtained her J.D., cum laude, and a certificate in Trial Advocacy & Litigation in May 2013. While in law school, Catherine served as a law clerk to the Honorable L. Philippe Restrepo, in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, through the Federal Judicial Clerkship Honors Clinical program. She was a member of the Temple National Trial Team where she won the championship at the National Civil Rights Trial Tournament in 2012, and the Best Advocate Award at the American Association of Justice Trial Tournament in 2013. Catherine also won the Barrister's Award for the best advocate in Trial Advocacy I, Trial Advocacy II and Advanced Trial Advocacy. Upon graduation, Catherine received the Jerome M. Staller "Excellence in Litigation Award" presented to the school's most promising civil litigator.
