She received her Juris Doctor from the Charleston School of Law in 2007 as a member of the inaugural class and is a member of the South Carolina Bar. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from The Citadel Military College of South Carolina in 2004 where she captained the women's golf team.

Suzanne was a Citadel Scholar and recently earned selection to the 25th Anniversary Golf team, honoring those who played a significant role in development of women's athletics in the Southern Conference in the past 25 years. She was also recently selected as a featured graduate during the Citadel's 2014 celebration of Women's History Month, honoring women alumni who have gone on to demonstrate leadership in their careers.
