California Traffic Defenders is the leading Bay Area law firm specializing in DUIs, traffic violations and criminal defense.
When you are facing legal difficulties, it is important to obtain the advice of an experienced and trustworthy attorney who has an intimate knowledge of the legal issues that apply to your situation. Your legal representative should have a firm understanding of your priorities and concerns, and a comfortable familiarity with the courts and agencies you will have to deal with in order to resolve your problem. At California Traffic Defenders, our San Francisco Bay Area criminal defense attorneys make a concerted effort to provide our clients with the best service possible whether they come to us for information, advice, or full representation.
The owner and lead attorney of California Traffic Defenders, Robert M. Amparan, has nearly two decades of litigation experience, including working for the San Francisco Public Defenders Office, where he garnered extensive experience working with these same issues within the local court and justice system. Along with the other attorneys at the firm, he is committed to helping his clients achieve the best results possible for their cases.
At California Traffic Defenders, our goal is to make sure that our clients rights and interests are aggressively and competently defended and pursued at every stage of their cases. No matter what a case may involve, we understand how important each of our clients record and driving privilege is to them, their families, and their futures.
Because of this, we make the effort to get to know our clients and the matters that concern them the most. We take the time to help our clients fully understand and appreciate the issues that affect their situation and the options that are available to them. We apprise them of the potential consequences of any course of action or outcome so that they can make informed decisions about their future, and so that we can work together in trying to accomplish our objectives.
Even more, our attorneys understand the emotional turmoil and fear that legal problems can create for people and their families. We have seen firsthand how they can taint people's hopes and dreams as they anxiously await the outcome of a lengthy, stressful, and often frustrating judicial process. We approach every case with compassionate understanding of these matters. And while no lawyer can promise to make every legal problem go away, our clients do have the assurance that we are giving our best, and they are getting the best. They can be confident that their troubles will be handled with diligence and dedication.

At California Traffic Defenders, a major portion of our practice is focused specifically upon assisting California drivers who are facing charges for traffic offenses, whether infractions, misdemeanors, or felonies.
Just about everyone has experienced that dreadful, sinking feeling of seeing red flashing lights behind them as they drive down the street or highway. Sometimes you know exactly what you will be cited for: failing to come to a complete stop, speeding, running a red light, or making an illegal lane change. At other times you are mystified: Did I miss a stop sign? Is one of my tail-lights out? Maybe you had a drink or two and are worrying whether you were driving erratically without even knowing it.
No matter what the answer is, you know it is going to cost you. Even the lowest California fines for traffic infractions when combined with fees and surcharges are over $100, and can run much higher, depending upon the offense and whether there are enhancement factors, such as committing a violation within a highway construction zone. And, if you are commercial driver, even minor violations can easily cost over $1,000, and, depending upon how serious it is, could jeopardize your ability to earn a living. Even more, many offenses put points on your driving record that can cause your insurance rates to skyrocket.
At California Traffic Defenders, we understand the gravity of traffic offenses and the impact these penalties can have on your life. We also know that, for most Californians, the driving privilege is all but essential: to go shopping, to get to work, and to drop off and pick up children at school or the doctor's office. For some, a valid drivers license and a clean driving record is a prerequisite for employment.
In a crowded legal marketplace like the San Francisco Bay Area, you have the option to select a lawyer from a vast number of firms. But the results we obtain and the relationships we build are what set our firm apart from the others.
At California Traffic Defenders, we focus on a narrow range of practice areas so that you can be confident that we know the law and we know how the local system works when it comes to these issues. In addition, several of our attorneys have experience working on the prosecutorial side of the law; we know how to pinpoint the weaknesses in the prosecutions position, and we use our insight into how the system works to develop a winning strategy. We know the local court system and keep up on the latest cases, laws, regulations, rules, and procedures to make sure that your case is handled efficiently, effectively, and expeditiously.
Not every lawyer will approach a case in the same way, or handle it with equal passion. The attorneys at California Traffic Defenders know how to negotiate, advocate, and argue a case, and we take pride in being aggressive and compassionate advocates for our clients.
At California Traffic Defenders, our aim is to provide personalized legal assistance to all of our clients, whether the case involves a complicated and frustrating administrative matter before the California Department of Motor Vehicles, or deals with a major felony that has the potential to involve long-term incarceration. It is our job to make sure that our clientsââ¬â¢ rights and interests are competently and assertively represented in Californiaââ¬â¢s justice system, and to help them to obtain the best possible outcome for their cases.
We have helped many San Francisco Bay Area clients to protect their rights, their freedom, and their privileges, and we welcome the opportunity to help you as well. We offer all of our potential clients a no-cost, no-obligation initial consultation so that you have the opportunity to tell us your story in a low-pressure environment, and so that we can explain, in detail and in person, pertinent information about how we may be able to assist you.
