Full service chapter 7 and chapter 13 bankruptcy law firm. Small business litigation, formation and collection defense.

We are dedicated to helping individuals and small businesses restructure, rebuild and reclaim their lives in times of financial distress. We have represented hundreds of Middle Tennesseans for almost 15 years. Offering free consultations and fee structures that work in your budget.

How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?

Bankruptcy is one of the few areas of the law that gives people power over large credit and mortgage institutions. It's the idea that an honest person who had bad luck can get a second chance at life that drives our bankruptcy practice. It's all about second chances.

What experience or education distinguishes your lawyers from others?

Our firm has handled bankruptcy cases across the State of Tennessee, from Memphis to Knoxville since 2002.

What distinguishes your law firm from others?

We are perfectly suited to give our clients hands-on attention, rather than handing you off to a secretary or paralegal. You will speak to your lawyer, which is your right.

What is your firm's point of view regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

Absolutely it is critical that clients make informed decisions before taking a step as big as filing bankruptcy. The important thing about that is understanding what is good information and what isn't. I've run into client after client who believes they "don't qualify" for Chapter 7 bankruptcy, when in reality, they do. Don't trust everything you read on the internet, but read everything you can to make an informed decision.

How frequently does your firm use mediation, arbitration, or collaborative law to resolve cases?

Regularly in non bankruptcy cases. In bankruptcy cases, compromise is certainly part of the process, especially when it comes to discharge issues, reaffirmation agreements and creditor claims.

What are your firm's strengths and style?

Hands-on and straightforward.
