John Buche

John Karl Buche has more than twenty years of experience with not only acquiring hundreds of patents, and trademarks, but also in litigating intellectual and business matters in state and federal courts across the United States.

Mr. Buche has handled patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret, and injury matters through various stages of litigation, including preliminary injunctions, pre-trial litigation, jury trials, bench trials, post-judgment proceedings and appeals that have spanned the 5th Circuit, Texas Supreme Court, and United States Supreme Court.

In addition to work as a PTO Registered Patent and Trademark attorney, Mr. Buche has extensive experience with licensing of intellectual property at all levels--from small business transactions, to deals on the "Shark Tank" and licensing household name products with Fortune 500 companies. Bryce Johnson

Bryce A. Johnson specializes in patent, trademark and intellectual property law.

Bryce earned his degree as a chemical engineer from Brigham Young University. After earning his undergraduate degree, he worked with an innovative heavy metal treatment company that removed the element selenium pollution from water used to irrigate crops. Turning then to the legal field, Bryce earned his law degree from the University of San Diego. There, he earned many honors, which included graduating cum laude from the USD School of Law and received the prestigious Order of the Coif.

Currently, Bryce’s practice focuses primarily on advising clients in various industries concerning their intellectual property rights. As a patent attorney, Bryce has helped clients obtain hundreds of patents in industries as diverse as computer gaming, automotive, electronic devices, sports equipment, machine tools, household appliances, industrial equipment and hazardous material handling equipment. Bryce is adept at quickly grasping the novelty of new technology and finding the best legal routes to achieve meaningful patent protection. Jason Cameron

Jason is an associate based in Houston office. Jason began his career as a satellite electronics technician in the U.S. Marine Corps. After two tours of duty, Jason worked in the defense industry on several key projects including the Global Hawk UAV program, the Presidential Helicopter program, White House communications, and as chief engineer of a R&D missile program for the U.S. Navy. After working for many years as an engineer, Jason accepted the challenge of becoming a Patent Attorney.

Jason’s initial interest in patent law and the protection of intellectual property formed while working on a business joint venture with a foreign company and witnessing misappropriation of IP data. Consequently, Jason is highly in tune with the defense of intellectual property through patents, copyrights, trademarks, trade dress, and trade secrets.

One of Jason’s unique talents is the ability to convert “Engineering-speak” into English and to harness it properly for legal purposes. Jason has a background in electrical engineering with subjects that include, but are not limited to, power system design, semiconductor theory, vehicle propulsion systems, medical devices, oil-and-gas technology, aviation systems, software applications, and mechanical devices. He has a solid technical background for understanding new technologies, which enables him to be a strong advocate for his clients.

Scott Compton

Scott Compton is an intellectual property specialist in Houston. His practice focuses on patent preparation and prosecution, trademarks, copyrights and related business matters. In addition, Mr. Compton has worked extensively on litigation and trial teams and made numerous appearances in federal and state courts.

Mr. Compton has been involved in all aspects of helping inventors to protect their inventions, having worked in a wide variety of industries including drilling fluids and oil field technologies; materials sciences, including nanomaterials, microencapsualtion, polymer technologies; and protection of general mechanical devices.

Prior to practicing law, Mr. Compton worked as a graduate assistant in the chemical division at Southwest Research Institute in San Antonio, Texas, where his research concentrated on Coatings Technology for the U.S. Air Force; conductive polymers, and bioactive glasses.

Outside of the practice of law, Mr. Compton is a dedicated athlete. Mr. Compton was a Professional Baseball player with the L.A. Dodgers Organization and is son of former major league catcher Mike Compton. Scott was raised in Odessa, Texas.
