Katherine Bloomquist Freitag

Ms. (Bloomquist) Freitag has focused her career on helping small businesses. Through her legal representation and community efforts she has been a consistent advocate to small business in numerous manufacturing and service industries. From creating the business to litigating for the business, she is a powerful, energetic ally to the small business.

Katherine is recognized as a leader in animal law and equine law. She has handled equine litigation in numerous state and federal courts across the country. She is a consistent participant since the mid 90's and frequent speaker at the National Equine Law Conference in Kentucky, and has significant published articles on equine law. Ms. Freitag authored a chapter in the American Bar Association book "Litigating Animal Law Disputes: A Complete Guide for Lawyers" on the use of expert witnesses in equine litigation and she was the first speaker on equine law at the American Bar Association in Chicago, Illinois. Ms. Freitag was the chair of the Animal Law Section of the Minnesota State Bar for two consecutive years and chaired the first ever Animal Law Conference sponsored by the Minnesota State Bar Association.
